Prepared proposals, reports, pitch decks, one-pagers, and other fundraising materials for this national digital rights group that is leading the fight to protect consumer privacy and the open internet through the passage of net neutrality. FFTF also organized the largest online protest in history, in which over 24 million people and websites were able to defeat the SOPA/PIPA Acts.

Worked with a national media reform group whose mission is to increase public participation in media policymaking.​

  • ​​Prepared all grant proposals, letter of inquiries and reports from foundations such as Ford, Surdna, Overbrook, Knight, Open Society Institute, Wallace Global Fund and others.​

  • Prepared newsletters, annual reports, informational fact sheets, and other donor cultivation materials.​​

Worked with Washington, DC-based affordable housing developer to develop and market a 60-single-family unit, urban revitalization homeownership initiative in Holyoke, MA.​

  • Secured over $10 million though multiple local, state and federal grants.

  • Responsible for public/community relations, development of marketing materials, sales supervision; budget oversight.

Paid Fellowship, Holyoke Housing Authority, Holyoke, MA, 1997 – 1999

Selected to participate in a program in which 20 mid-career community development professionals were placed in 17 U.S. cities undergoing major urban redevelopment.

  • Secured federal funding and designed programming for two community technology centers, a youth construction apprenticeship program and a welfare-to-work transition assistance program.

  • Prepared annual reports, press releases and presentations.​

  • Secured over $2.3 million in affordable housing funding to redevelop abandoned and substandard housing.

  • Coordinated and oversaw development team of architects, consultants, lawyers and general contractors; negotiated contracts; worked with neighborhood groups and city government.
